IRONWOOD, Mich. - Bonnie Peterson, age 69, long-time resident of Ironwood, died unexpectedly at home on Aug. 9, 2021.
Bonnie grew up in Bessemer and was a class of 1969 graduate of A.D. Johnston High School. She loved her sons, animals, and the feel of the sun.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mario and Anna Pertile of Bessemer; sister, Mary Ann of White Pine; and brother, Tony of Bessemer. She is survived by sons, Donnie Peterson and Mike Schwab, both of Ironwood; sister-in-law, Kathleen (Tony) Pertile; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A small graveside service will be held for close family and friends at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19.
In lieu of flowers or cards, the family requests donations to H.O.P.E Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 261, Ironwood, MI 49938, to honor their Mom.
