Ironwood acquires 4,000-square-foot building

IRONWOOD — The Ironwood City Commission has accepted a donation of property, including a building, at 420 Iron King Road from First Property Holdings LLC of Iron Mountain.

The action occurred at the commission's latest regular meeting on Sept. 14.

Tom Bergman, the city's community development manager, said that the structure, which is 4,000 square feet, had been used as a grow facility by RiZE, one of the marijuana companies now established within the city. However, the company's priorities have changed; hence, the property is not needed.
