Charlotte W. Wolfe

WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Charlotte W. Wolfe, 85, of Bergland, passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield.

She was born May 10, 1930, in Ripon, Wis., to the late William and Rozella (Smick) Theil.

On July 17, 1948, Charlotte was united in marriage to the late Louis “Shorty” Wolfe in Green Bay, Wis. They moved to the Bergland area in the 1950s and made their home there until his passing in 2007.

Charlotte loved to play bingo, crochet and knit. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Charlotte always looked forward to the holiday times when they could all be together.

She is survived by her children, Ken (Deb) Wolfe, of White Pine, Paula (Bill) Morrill, of Mosinee, Wis., Kim (Jim) Mix, of Stafford, Va., and Nancy (J.P.) Ayotte, of Sheboygan, Wis .; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Louis “Shorty” Wolfe Sr .; son, Louis Wolfe Jr .; daughter, Joyce Miller; daughter-in-law, Barb Wolfe; sister, Pat Dennison; and brother, William Theil.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, from 5-8 p.m. at the Cane Funeral Home-Bruce Crossing Chapel in Bruce Crossing.

A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bergland. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bergland.
