Nicole Suzanne Gibson, Kingston Bruce Gibson-Hall

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Nicole Suzanne Gibson, 37, and her unborn son, Kingston Bruce Gibson-Hall, formerly of Bruce Crossing, Mich., passed away unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, in Minneapolis.

Nicole was born on May 13, 1979, at Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, Mich. She graduated from Ewen-Trout Creek High School in 1997 and attended Gogebic Community College for criminal justice.

Nicole was previously employed by the state of Michigan as a corrections officer before moving to Minneapolis where she was currently working as an eye technician at Park Nicollet.

Nicole was a little bit city and a lot Yooper. She enjoyed living in Minneapolis, where she made many friends and attended all venues of sports and music. Nicole was an avid supporter of the Vikings. She appreciated the outdoors and absolutely loved spending time with her dad as his hunting and fishing partner. Nicole was intensely proud of her hometown, Bruce Crossing, and was always excited to bring friends to show them where she came from.

Nicole is survived by her parents, Bruce and Kay Gibson, Bruce Crossing; a sister, Tara (Jimmy) Larson, Ewen, Mich .; her fiancé, Chester Hall Jr., Minneapolis; maternal grandmother, Betty Johnson, Bruce Crossing; paternal grandparents, Tom and Peggy Codd, Bruce Crossing; her Minneapolis family, mother-in-law, Diane Ayler, brother-in-law, Eric L. Sanders, sister-in-law, Tonique M. Ayler, nephews, Michael and Elijah and niece, Evelyn; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Raymond Gibson; grandpa, Burt Johnson; uncle, Marcus Codd; uncle, Brian Johnson; and cousin, Jessica Urbis.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon EDT, at the Bruce Crossing Bible Church. Funeral services will follow the visitation at noon, with Pastor Steven Washburn officiating.

Final resting place will be at Hillside Cemetery, Bruce Crossing.
