David Pedrin

WAKEFIELD, Mich. - On Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, David Pedrin, 71, left the love of his life and family only to be reunited with his family in Heaven. After a courageous battle with multiple illnesses, Dave is no longer suffering.

Dave was born Oct. 30, 1946, in Sault Ste. Marie, to Bernard and Margie (Biermaker) Pedrin. He was the seventh son of the seventh son.

Dave is survived by his wonderful wife of 51 years, Roberta; four devoted children, Gina (Lee) Cummings, Ironwood, Dianne Pedrin (Pete), Monticello, Iowa, and fraternal twins, Ryan (Stacy) Pedrin and Rob (Heather) Pedrin, both of Howards Grove, Wis .; nine beloved grandchildren, Danyelle, Cassandra, Shay, Kaylee, Sawyer, Bryce, Blake, Bria and Nolan; five cherished great-grandchildren, Devin, Ethyn, Vanea, Corbin and Connor; a brother, Bernie; five sisters, Linda, Gloria, Betty, Mary and Julianne; numerous stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven brothers, Edward, Howard, George, Lawrence, Raymond, Jimmy and Tommy.

Dave was employed early on at Arnold Masse in Flint, and later at Connor's Lumber Mill in Wakefield. But what most people will remember is Dave and his brother, Bernie's automotive shop in Wakefield, Ped's Auto.

Dave was a huge Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers fan. He enjoyed four-wheeling, fishing, having cookouts at his home, going to the casino (which he always would say he came out ahead), attending practices and games of various sports his family played and dancing (Roberta will tell you she taught him how to dance.)

Dave was loved and appreciated by his family more than he could ever know and is going to be greatly missed so much by so many.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at 3 p.m., preceded by visitation at 2 p.m., at Lakeside Memorial Chapel, 806 Putnam St., in Wakefield, with Chaplain Matt Agee officiating.

A committal service and inurnment will take place in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield, in the spring.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jerald Rocco, owner and manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield. Condolences may be expressed online at lakesidememorialchapel.com.
