Karrera Abryannah Bolton

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Karrera Abryannah Bolton, age 18, of Ironwood, left us far too soon on Oct. 18, 2023. She was born on July 9, 2005, in Duluth Minnesota, to Susan Fehl and Anthony Bolton.

Her family moved to Ironwood when she was 8 years old, where she became active with the Barracuda Swim Team until it's closure. She was also an annual participant in the Polar Plunge benefiting Range Regional Hospice and volunteered at the local food pantry.

Karrera was a gifted artist - playing clarinet, drawing and writing poetry. She had a natural eye for photography and had recently started sharing some of her work. In her own words, "You gotta get the right angle and everything always looks beautiful."

Her closest companions were her beloved dog, Milo, and bearded dragon, Dravis. She loved being outside in nature year-round, but her personal favorite was a full moon with an early snowfall in late autumn.

In her short life, Karrera connected with many people from other countries through online gaming. She had also found community in an online support group, later being asked to serve as a moderator and frequently checked in with friends within the group.

Karrera was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Bolton; stepfather, Michael Evsich; aunt, Patricia Stuart; and grandfather, William Lehto.

She is survived by her mother, Susan Evsich; siblings, Amanda (Marc), John, Laurie (Austin), Iashia, Tre (Emily), Symeon (Emily), Anthony, Daunte, Isabella and Andre; grandparents, Toni and David Thorstad, and Mary Ann Swanson; aunts, Michelle, Frances, Sandee and Terri; uncles, Randy, Terry, Walt, John, Brian and Phillip; nephews, Preston, Nolan and Ezra; and nieces, Ghesla and Harmony. She also leaves behind her best friends, Victoria, Shae and Faune, and many others close to her whom she loved as family.

A celebration of Karrera's life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, from noon to 3 p.m. at Mr. D's in Duluth. A separate memorial gathering with friends and family will be held in Ironwood with information to follow.
