Arlene Ann Miljevich

WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Arlene Ann Miljevich, 91, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a very kind and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Arlene was born June 20, 1932, in Wakefield, a daughter of Andrew and Veronica (Stempinski) Yatchak. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1950.

On May 20, 1950, Arlene was united in marriage to Vernon Eli "ToTo" Miljevich at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They made their home in Wakefieldand were blessed with five children.

Arlene is survived by two sons, Gary (Diane) and Brian (Karen); two daughters, Michelle (Scott) Wuerfel and Melanie (Ken) Colberg; her daughter-in-law, Martha Miljevich; 12 grandchildren, Jason (Micaela) Miljevich, Alex (Lynnea) Miljevich, Greg (Carrie) Miljevich, Randy Miljevich, Gary Miljevich, Brian Miljevich, Becky (Tom) Koivisto, Kelley (Daniel) Matkowski, Karen (Mark) Johnson, Jim Olson, Samantha Olson and Ashley Miljevich; 21 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Sophie, Ella, Max, Brady, Tucker, Ashley, Tucker, Sawyer, Owen, Lila, Laney, Allison, Julia, Oaklynn, Tripp, Andrea, Ben, Hans, Rafe and Evan; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, ToTo, in 1984; a son, Mark Vernon, in 2010; a grandson, Mark David, in 2022; five sisters, Sophie Kaveshan, Martha Allard, Margaret Radowski, Phyllis Tarkowski and Patricia Welsh; and an infant brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, Jan. 8, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wakefield, with the Rev. Dominic Agyapong, celebrant.

Rite of Committal and interment will take place at the Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield, in the spring.
