Keith Alan Thiede

WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Keith Alan Thiede, 65, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Feb. 24, 2024, at the Lake Shore Home in Wakefield.

Keith was born the son of Marvin and Dorothy (Fisher) Thiede on July 25, 1958, in Ironwood, Michigan. He was a graduate of Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood.

He enjoyed doing his art in his younger years. Keith loved laying in the grass on nice sunny days listening to his music. Keith loved listening to Elton John and the Beatles. Keith loved to take walks and along the way pick up cans to be able to purchase his favorite soda and cigarettes, and then stop by to chat with his friend Ronald Chipperi.

Keith made a lot of friends throughout the years that were considered his family living within the group homes.

Keith is survived by his brothers, Glen of Wakefield, Stacy (Roberta), of Ironwood Township, and Terence, of Bessemer; his sisters, Julie (Shannon) Sertich, of Ironwood, Dorothy "DJ" Anderson (Dean Saari), of Ironwood, and Darci Pisco, of Bessemer. Keith is further survived by various aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Keith will be missed by his two special nieces, Bryce and Jerzey Pisco, who he loved spending time with during visits and holidays; and his brother, Glen, whom he lived with throughout his life.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Dorothy Thiede; brother, Kyle Thiede; maternal grandparents Julie Mylly and Louis Fisher; and paternal grandparents, Glen H. Thiede and Hilma S. Thiede.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 22, from 1 p.m. to the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Bluff Valley Park in Bessemer.

Memorials may be directed to Regional Hospice, the Lake Shore Home in Wakefield, or HOPE Animal Shelter per Keith's requests.
