Jackson Henry Brownell

MANITOWOC, Wis. — Jackson Henry Brownell, 13 months old, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life unexpectedly and peacefully while asleep on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

Jackson was born on Feb. 13, 2023, in Two Rivers, to Chris and Becky (Knoblauch) Brownell.

Jackson was a consistently happy person and was always smiling — even on his bad days. He was a kind and outgoing person that would wave and give attention to everyone. Jackson brought many smiles and laughs to those around him, just through his personality, and sometime by the grunts he would make while eating! Jackson was a very good brother to his big brother, Grayson, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include Jackson’s parents, Chris and Becky Brownell, Manitowoc; brother, Grayson; maternal grandparents, Jack and Peggy Knoblauch, Manitowoc; paternal grandmother, Ann (Greg) Baker, Wakefield, Michigan; two aunts, Shannon (Branden) Hakala, Grandville, Michigan; and Kristi (Cooper) Knoblauch, Holland, Michigan; also other relatives. Jackson was preceded in death by his grandfather, Scott Brownell.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home in Manitowoc. Deacon Rich Bahnaman will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3:45 p.m. A luncheon for family and friends will be held after the service at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, located on the south property of the funeral home.

Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Jackson’s name.

Jackson’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staffs of Manitowoc Fire and Rescue, Manitowoc Police Department, and the Two Rivers Aurora Medical Center’s ER for all of their help and efforts.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets in Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
