Following the guidance of the health department, students in Megan Wilson’s kindergarten class will be virtual for the remainder of this week, said superintendent Dan Niemi.     IRONWOOD, Mich. - Charles E. Best, Lt. Col. retired, of Ironwood, passed away on Jan. 1, 2021, two days shy of his 95th birthday of natural causes. Charles was born on Jan. 3, 1926, in Ironwood to the late John W. Best and Grace Finerty Best. He attended Ironwood Area Schools and the University of Michigan. In 1944, Charles was called to active duty. He spent the next 23 years serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He retired in 1967 with the rank of lieutenant... Full story

    RAMSAY, Mich. — Loralee Radowski, 70, a longtime resident of Ramsay, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021. Loralee was born on Oct. 27, 1950, in Wakefield, the daughter of Kathleen (Kubiak) and Eli Miljevich Jr. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1968.
