Kathy was born Sept. 22, 1937, to Enrica (Federizzi) and John DeFerro in Hurley, Wisconsin. She graduated from J. E. Deb was born on Nov. 28, 1964, in Frankfurt, Germany, a daughter of Jim and Kay (Baluha) Paremsky. She was raised in Ironwood, and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1982.
