    IRONWOOD, Mich. - Betty "Mabel" Rands, 96, of Bessemer, passed away on May 28, 2022, at Westgate Nursing, Rehabilitation and Assisted Living Community in Ironwood. Betty was born in Ironwood on Aug. 8, 1925, the daughter of Reginald and Lillian (Tremain) Tippett. She attended school in Ironwood and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1943.     KENTON, Mich. — Sheila Jean (nee Nara) Johnson, 75, of Kenton, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Sheila was born on March 1, 1947, in Ewen, a daughter of Wesley Emerick and Gertrude Irene (Johnson) Nara. She attended Ewen High School and graduated in 1965. On Sept. 28, 1963, Sheila was united in marriage to Chester William “Ches” Johnson at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Paynesville. They made their home in Kenton and were blessed with two sons.
