Khan met the artist, Laken Whitecliffe, in college and said they've been friends for a long time. The mural is a Northwood scene, including wildlife and a man sitting at a campfire. Doris Riegler died on Aug. 19, 2022, after battling dementia. Doris was born on Nov. 24, 1929, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Percy and Hattie (Ryan) Crosby. She graduated from Southern High School of Baltimore in 1948 and received her associate degree from Bloom Community College. She married Wayne H. Riegler in Baltimore, on Sept. 18, 1949.
