    ROCKLAND - The Michigan State Police awarded a Rockland man with the "Distinguished Citizen Award," on Wednesday evening - the highest honor it can give to a civilian. The award was presented to Bruce Racine for rescuing his neighbor, Caryl Miilu, 85, from a house fire on June 3.     BESSEMER - The Gogebic County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a public hearing on the topic of the county's 2020-21 operational budget for its next regular meeting. The board 7-0 approved a public hearing prior to the 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 county board meeting at the request of Juliane Giackino, county administrator.     SAXON, Wis. - Elizabeth Ann Cvengros, 58, of Saxon, passed away Friday, Sept. 4, 2020. She was born on Aug. 28, 1962, in Ironwood, Michigan. She married John Martilla in 1980 and they had one child, Angella Paulson, in 1978. Elizabeth later met and fell in love with Thomas "Nitro" Knight in 1994, who has been by her side for 26 years.
