    IRONWOOD, Mich. — Larry A. Bahun, 71, of Ironwood, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022. Larry was born on Nov. 9, 1950, to Tony and Venita (Swanbeck) Bahun in Ironwood. He was a graduate of Luther L. Wright High School. Larry loved his dogs dearly. He is survived by his brother, Steve (Darlene) Bahun; sister, Kathy (Donald) Jossart; and nieces and nephews. Born on Aug. 11, 1929, Virginia was the daughter of Joseph and Gladys Clement. She grew up in Saxon, and was a long-time resident of Ironwood Township, Michigan.     RAMSAY, Mich. — On Sept. 21, 2022, beloved husband, Donald J. Chiapuzio, passed to be with our Lord and with friends and family who preceded him. Don was born in Bessemer, the son of William Paul Chiapuzio Sr. and Gertrude Agnes Chiapuzio. Don attended A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer. In his early working career he was a certified auto mechanic and later drove a log truck for Steiger's and Carl Niemi.     BESSEMER, Mich. - Katherine "Kay" Genevieve Pellinen, 85, passed away from natural causes in September 2022 at her home in Bessemer. She was born in April 1937 and was raised by the Watters and Belanger families in Houghton and Ironwood. Kay married Francis "Frank" Richard Pellinen in July 1955. Frank passed away in July 2002. GLISSON [email protected] BESSEMER — After two summers of detours that changed multiple times, U.S. 2 is now fully free to traffic as the Michigan Department of Transportation closes out its $10 million investment in rebuilding the well-traveled highway route. The two-year project resulted with reduced lanes in the downtown area, along with tapering of the 5-lane highway on the east and west sides of town.
