According to an Iron County Health Department press release, the department is working with neighboring Ashland and Bayfield counties to ensure the safety of the community.     By RALPH ANSAMI [email protected] BESSEMER — The Gogebic County Board of Commissioners Wednesday decided to delay adopting a resolution on high auto insurance costs until after the Nov. 8 election. A proposed resolution was drawn up for the meeting by county clerk Gerry Pelissero, but commissioner Bob Orlich, of Wakefield, said it would be best to wait until after the election to determine who will be around to receive copies of it.     WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Ann K. Wienen, 90, of Ironwood Township, died peacefully Tuesday morning, Oct. 25, 2016, at Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield. The former Ann K. Timoshuk was born March 25, 1926, in Bruce Crossing, daughter of the late Alex and Anna (Olson) Timoshuk, and graduated from Ewen High School in 1943. She married Ellis W. Wienen on Jan. 17, 1948, in Galena, Ill. They moved to Ironwood from Aledo, Ill., in 1959. Ellis preceded Ann in death on Feb. 11, 2005. Ann worked as a... Full story
