City Manager Charly Loper told the city’s Recreation Committee on Dec. 16 that she felt it would be best to apply for both the grant from the Economic Development Authority and the one from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. ASHLAND, Wis. - Rita M. Zwetow, 69, of Mellen, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at the Memorial Medical Center Hospital in Ashland. Rita was born on March 31, 1952, in Ironwood, Michigan, the daughter of Roman and Theresa (DeMario) Conhartoski.
