Chaz Michael Havenor

MARENISCO, Mich. - Chaz Michael Havenor, 21, of Marenisco, formerly of Iron River and Marquette, passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014.

Chaz was born on Nov. 28, 1992, in Ironwood, the son of LeeRoy and Dale Anne "Dee" (Berg) Havenor.

In his teenage years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. Chaz played football for Wakefield-Marenisco School and basketball for Watersmeet School.

He loved to hang out with his family and friends, and always had a smile on his face. Chaz had a sense of humor and wanted to make others smile with his jokes.

He was a very skilled carpenter.

Chaz is survived by his mother, Dale Anne "Dee" Havenor (Scott Binkley), Marquette; his father, LeeRoy, Madison, Wis .; a sister, Chelsea Havenor, Marquette; a half-brother, Lee Owen Imhoff, Wakefield; his maternal grandparents, Dale and Maureen Berg, Bessemer; his aunts and uncles, Christine (Tom) Keast, Debbie Havenor, Leslie Joseph Havenor (Jody Mazes), Lynette Havenor (Gary Auerswald), Tracy Berg (Todd Frantz) and Patrick (Kellie) Berg; numerous cousins; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Joann Adamczak-Havenor, on Nov. 7, 2013; and his paternal grandfather, Leslie Dale "Les" Havenor, on Dec. 6, 2013.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 9:30 a.m., at the Lakeside Memorial Chapel, 806 Putnam St., in Wakefield, with Andrew Hill officiating.

Pallbearers will be Alex Knight, Ben Ward, T.J. Charles, Mark Piotrowski Jr., Tessa Lillie and Joey Berg.

Interment will take place in Marenisco Cemetery.

Lunch will be served at the Marenisco Township Hall following the cemetery service.
