WOODRUFF, Wis. — Nelle Marie (Silkworth) Haag, 80, of Woodruff and Boulder Junction, passed away peacefully at her residence at One Penny Place, Woodruff, on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014.
She was born on June 5, 1934, in Prentice, the daughter of Ray and Hannah (nee Peterson) Silkworth.
Nelle is survived by sons, Mark (Gina), of Madison, and Fred of Minocqua; granddaughters, Amanda (Chris) Braunschweig, of Madison, and Michaela (Josh) Grueneberg, of Merrill; great-grandson, Louis Braunschweig; her sister, Doris Kindred, of Ironwood, Mich .; and numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; parents, Ray and Hannah Silkworth; brothers, Vern, Charles, Earl, Fred and Donald; and sisters, Dorothy Jane, Phyllis and Ruth.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff from One Penny Place and Ministry Dr. Kate Home Health and Hospice for the love and caring they gave to Nelle and the family.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff with a memorial gathering from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.
