Beverly Jean (Havenor) Kaufman

MARENISCO, Mich. - Beverly Jean (Havenor) Kaufman, 82, a longtime resident of Marenisco, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

Beverly was born on Aug. 26, 1932, in Winegar, Wis., a daughter of Leslie Edward and Pearl Marie (Hebert) Havenor. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Marenisco.

In July 1956, Beverly was united in marriage to Carl Gerald Kaufman in Las Vegas, Nev.

She and Carl enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and to their condominium in Laughlin, Nev. They were snowbirds for many years.

Her greatest passions were her flower and vegetable gardens and tending to her fruit trees. Later in life, she found enjoyment in football and followed the Green Bay Packers.

Beverly will be greatly missed by her family and her two puggle friends, Frankie and Chloe, who will miss the extra attention and treats she gave them.

Bev is survived by a son, Carl Joseph (Michelle), Appleton, Wis .; two grandchildren, Alexis and Carl Spencer; a brother, Russell (Pam); two sisters, Sharon Kelley and Janet (Robert) Mussatti; several nieces and nephews; other loving relatives; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Carl, on May 13, 2000; two brothers, Charles and Leslie Dale; a sister, Joyce Rosenau; and her sister-in-law and friend, Joann Havenor.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Lakeside Memorial Chapel in Wakefield, with the Rev. Ted Trudgeon, pastor of the Wakefield United Methodist Church, officiating.

Lunch will be served at the Marenisco Township Hall following the funeral service.

Interment will take place at a later date in Marenisco Cemetery.
