Georgine Doris (Youngberg) Kahle

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - Georgine Doris (Youngberg) Kahle, 71, of Traverse City, passed away Feb. 28, 2016.

Daughter to the late George and Doris Youngberg of Ironwood, and sister to late brothers Robert Youngberg of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., and Gary Youngberg of Riverside, Fla., Georgine was born in Ironwood on Aug. 25, 1944.

Georgine is survived by husband, Gary Kahle; son, Derek (Dianne) Kahle, of Norwalk, Conn .; and granddaughter, Chelsea Kahle.

Married on Oct. 20, 1962, Georgine and husband Gary shared a life full of travel, making homes in Bay Shore and Berkley, as well as New York, Texas and Maryland, before returning to Michigan to live in Brighton, and finally Traverse City.

Making friends each place she went, Georgine and her husband experienced the world through their travels, leaving no stone unturned. These adventures included not only an exploration of the states, but also brought Georgine all over the globe - including motorcycle trips through both Russia and the Alps.

Georgine poured care and warmth into everything she did, a dedicated wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and lover of all dogs. A joy to those who knew her, Georgine will be greatly missed by friends and family.
