Georgia Moore

SAXON, Wis. - Georgia Moore joined our Lord in Heaven on Feb. 5, 2018.

Georgia Ellen Moore was born to William and Marion Jewel (Livingston) Kitzman on March 26, 1939. Throughout her life, she was better known as "Aunt Honey" or "Honey."

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sibling and one grandchild. Georgia was the fourth of nine children and Jewel's second daughter.

Georgia attended Bergland High School and graduated valedictorian of her class in 1957. Georgia always had a love for animals and wanted to be a veterinarian. She would eventually own a hobby farm and live on a dairy farm.

Shortly after graduation, she met her soon to be husband, Milford Moore. They were married in Pine City, Minn., on March 3, 1958. They moved west to Saratoga, Wyo. After their first two children were born in Rawlings, Wyo., their family then moved back to Ironwood, Mich. In 1977, Georgia and her family moved to a dairy farm in Saxon, Wis., where she lived out her final days.

Georgia's hobbies included reading, gardening, crocheting, taking in strays and nursing them back to health and taking care of the animals of the farm. She was best known for her love of life, always helping others, and singing in her kitchen.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Milford Moore; her 10 children: daughter, Veronica Vuckovic, son, Milford (Terry) Moore, daughter, Beverly Brookins, son, Thomas (Gayle) Moore, daughter, Sally (Kevin) Meanor, son, Vernon Moore, son, Gerald (Tami) Moore, son, Donald (Donna) Moore, daughter, Georgia (Matt) Weber and son, Patrick (Stephanie) Moore; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at McKevit-Patrick Funeral home on Friday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m., preceded by visitation beginning at 11 a.m.
