WAUSAU, Wis. — Charles G. “Charlie” Thomas, 70, formerly of Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Wausau on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019.
He is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Dave) Hegbloom, Michelle (Doug) Crutchley and Ashley (Walter) Morgan; one son, Michael (Tanya) Thomas; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis (Jane) Thomas; a sister, Carol (James) Cocking; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucille (Barnecott) Thomas; a niece, Shelley (Thomas) Johnson; and a special friend, Darlene.
Charlie was a hard worker all his life. He had an adventurous soul and loved being outdoors. He was always willing to help a friend in need.
A private family service will be held.
The Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
