Trevor Nicholas Stephani

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Trevor Nicholas Stephani, 29, was freed from his long battle with depression and addiction on June 20, 2019.

Trevor was born on April 13, 1990, to Michele (Rosen) Seibel and Joseph Stephani. He attended grade school in Bessemer, Mich., and Hurley, Wis., and graduated from Hurley High School with the class of 2008. Some of Trevor's favorite high school memories were being a part of the Hurley High School band.

Trevor spent the last year of his life in recovery as a resident at Beit T'Shuvah in Los Angeles. One of the highlights of his residency there included a 21-mile hike in Yosemite. He had also been preparing to finish his schooling at Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy, also in Los Angeles.

Trevor was an amazing young man. He was talented, intelligent, handsome, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Those of us left behind are saddened he didn't see himself that way. He touched so many lives and leaves behind wonderful and cherished memories.

Trevor is survived by his mother, Michele (Terrence) Seibel; father, Joseph (Patti Packmayer) Stephani; brother, Tanner (Meagan Leinon) Stephani; maternal grandparents, Karen (Paul) Henning and Charles (Carrie) Rosen; paternal grandparents, Dan and Minerva Stephani; aunts, Debbie (Fred) Ruppe and Danette (Paul) Dashner; uncles, Robert (Suzanne) Stephani and David (Shannon Osterman) Stephani; and numerous cousins and other extended family and friends. Trevor is also survived by three dear friends who were by his side in the last years of his life, Dashiel Johnson, Devynn Sepulveda and Leah Pavone. His uncle Gerry Stephani preceded him in death.

A celebration of life will be held in Trevor's memory on Sunday, June 30, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Nora's Red Carpet Lounge in Hurley. We will all miss and love you forever, Trevor. Fly high above your pain; we feel peace knowing you are no longer suffering.

O'Connor Mortuary, of Laguna Hills, Calif., is assisting with funeral arrangements. Online remembrances may be left at oconnormortuary.com.
