Jean Dorothy (Pallin) Valle

HURLEY, Wis. - Jean Dorothy (Pallin) Valle passed away during the early hours of Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, with her son, Michael, by her side.

Jean graduated from St. Ambrose High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Gogebic Auto for many years. She was a working member of the Northwoods Natural Foods Co-op. Jean was an active volunteer for DOVE bingo and a Eucharistic minister for her parish. She served on the funeral pall committee and was a member of the Salem Quilters organization and she took pleasure in sewing. All those who knew Jean took note of the unique way she had for expressing herself, many enjoyed this, some may not have. All told, she was a woman of strong opinions and colorful descriptive language.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Sara Valle (Tim) and Yvonne Novascone (Ray); her sons, Tom, Michael (Peachy) and Mickey; brothers, Charles Pallin, David Pallin (Charlotte), Richard Pallin (Jeanne), and Thomas Pallin; grandchildren, Kristen Paulsen, Justin Paulsen, Anna Marie Valle, John-Paul Valle, Alexander Valle, Gabriel Valle, Joan Marie Concha, Alex Valle, Grant Valle, Jacob (Jessica) Novascone, and Cassie (Ralph) Stewart; and her wonderful great-grandchildren, Geneva Paulson, Rhyia Jo Paulson, Angelo, Mary Bella, William, Bibiana, Giancarlo, Kezia Novascone, Zeke Novascone, Landon Stewart and Maddox Stewart.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Gust and Blanche (Dondu) Pallin; brothers, Robert Pallin and William Pallin; and sisters, Barbara Ann Danielson and Donna Pallin.

There will be a celebration of life Saturday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood followed by a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Binu Joseph as celebrant. A luncheon will be held in the church hall following the Mass and all are welcome.
