Marsha A. Edwards

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — Marsha A. Edwards, age 67, of Maple Grove, lost her battle with cancer on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at her home.

Marsha was born in Ironwood, Michigan, on July 9, 1953, to Gerald and Dorothy (Petroski) Edwards. Marsha was raised in Ironwood. After her high school graduation, she left to attend college at Anoka Tech in the Minneapolis area. Marsha’s career was spent as a sales representative in the Minneapolis area, first for the Hanes Corporation and the past 20-plus years for the Ganz Gift Company.

Marsha had many talents such as sewing, cooking and gardening which she shared generously with others. Most of all, Marsha valued time spent with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed watching her great-nephews growing up. The annual 4th of July party was her favorite gathering held at the family cottage.

Marsha is survived by her sister, Susan Gundrum (Bob) of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; a brother, Michael, of Ironwood; a sister-in-law, Susan Edwards Schellgell (Fritz) of Mercer, Wisconsin; nephews, Christopher Edwards (Erin) of Minneapolis; Jason Edwards (Olivia) of Mercer; Brennan Gundrum of Minneapolis; Sam Gundrum of Sheboygan; niece, Jennifer Schoenhard (Nick) of Mercer; and great-nephews, Conor, Eli, Jeremiah and Noah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Patrick; her infant twin sister; her grandparents and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service for Marsha will be held in her hometown in Ironwood and a celebration of life will be held in Maple Grove, both during the summer of 2021.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to: Fairview Hospice, 2450 26th Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55406; or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 5353 Wayzata Blvd. #500, St. Louis Park, MN 55416.

A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the University of Minnesota Hospital and Fairview Homecare and Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Marsha during her lengthy battle with cancer.
