    IRONWOOD — In light of the coronavirus pandemic and large group gatherings being prohibited, Gogebic Community College is preparing to take its 2020 commencement ceremony online. While the ceremony for the approximately 175 graduates will take place on Friday, May 8 at 6 p.m., the originally scheduled date and time, there will be no actual gathering but instead a virtual gathering — one that will be live-streamed so that everyone who wishes to attend can do so.     WAKEFIELD - Fishing is one of those curious pastimes that - funny enough - does not require a lot of success to enjoy. Kenny Kelch of Bessemer illustrated that while fishing at Sunday Lake last Saturday.     With the remainder of the school year now canceled in both Michigan and Wisconsin due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, area seniors and their families await information on what the new plan for their graduation ceremonies will be.     SHELL LAKE, Wis. - Jeanne K. Gulan, 75, of Shell Lake, died Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Shell Lake Health Care Center. She was born on April 18, 1944, in Bessemer, Michigan, to E. Harry and Elizabeth (Giacomino) Smith. Jeanne married Anthony Gulan on April 23, 1966, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley. Jeanne attended St. Mary's Grade School in Hurley and graduated from J.E. Murphy High School in 1962.
