    MERCER, Wis. - Clemetta Evenson, age 101, of Mercer, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, at her home. Clemetta was born on June 18, 1920, in Chicago, the daughter of the late Peter and Rose (Roeder) Spanier. Clemetta received her nursing diploma from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Chicago in 1941. She enlisted in the Army Nurse Corps in February of 1942 and was stationed at Scott Field, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Clemetta met and married Capt.
