BRUCE CROSSING, Mich. - Effie Thomas, 89, of Bruce Crossing, passed away on Oct. 17, 2023, at Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee. She was born on Feb. 5, 1934, to the late Thomas and Jennie (Pelkola) Metos. Effie was united in marriage to the late Oscar Ivio. After his death, she married the late Steve Thomas. TROUT CREEK, Mich. - Ferdinand "Junior" Lundberg Jr., son of Ferdinand Sr. and Siiri Niemi Lundberg, joined his parents in passing on June 1, 2023. Born at the Grand View Hospital of Ironwood on July 25, 1943, his father paid a grand total of $46 and kept the receipt in case he wanted to return him for a refund.
