BERGLAND, Mich. - Raymond E. Maki, 91, of Kingsford, formerly of Bergland, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, at 10:40 p.m., surrounded by his family. HURLEY, Wis. - Virginia Mae (Clement) Carpenter, age 93, passed away peacefully at the Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley on Sept. 23, 2022. ONTONAGON, Mich. - Thomas J. Hamilton, 83, left this earth on the beautiful Saturday morning of Sept. 17, 2022. He was surrounded by his children as he passed away peacefully in a place that he held in his heart and soul as "sacred ground," his dad's cottage on Rose Island in Ontonagon. GLISSON [email protected] EWEN - Last Saturday, which was the main day of the 45th annual Log Jamboree, drew a lively and consistent crowd throughout hours of activities that included lumber and quilt shows, vendors and games, and plenty of food.
